Hello everybody. I will tell you what I learned about the Learning Management System from an article I read today. In this pandemic period we are living in, I think all teachers should have information about this subject. Good luck to all of you for a more advanced education life.
First of all, what is the Learning Management System? At first glance, we can define LMS as a platform where teachers can compile, organize and share their digital content with their students. But it offers more to teachers and students. It enables students to turn into more active users through many different modules such as forum, wiki and homework. Moodle, Blackboard, Sakai, Haiku Learning, Canvas are among the most mentioned LMSs. Teachers primarily use these platforms to share their digital content and to create a central page where they can direct their students to activities. Over time, other modules that make students active are also being used. The use of LMS, which we recommend that schools undergoing the 1: 1 review, makes it easier for students and teachers to adopt digital interaction and creates a safe space for them, just like the classroom environment. It also encourages teachers to creatively create their own unique digital content. One of the most important features of LMSs is that it can work integrated with other platforms and web 2.0 technologies.For example, integration of Moodle with LDAP or connecting with tools such as Turnitin through various plugins makes teachers and students' lives easier.
As far as I understand from the article I read, transferring the activities performed on the digital platform to the classroom, and transferring the activities in the classroom to the digital platform enable the LMS to be used more efficiently.Thus, the student and teacher feel that the LMS environment is not an add-on but part of the classroom environment.
